About Postgraduate Diploma In Professional Practice in Wellington Institute of Technology (Weltec)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice provides health and social practice professionals a new model of higher level study to advance their knowledge and skills, thereby enhancing their practice and career progression. The curriculum design and programme structure supports students to engage in inter-professional learning at postgraduate level to advance and broaden their professional practice. This programme will enable you to gain specialised knowledge and leadership skills to work effectively in inter-professional teams for the provision of quality services to diverse people and communities. Successful graduates may also gain credits towards Master’s studies.​

Academic qualification equivalents

• Health or social practice professional or equivalent; with degree or equivalent bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

English language requirements (one of the below):

IELTS:

• Postgraduate Diploma and Graduate Diploma in Engineering: 6.5 overall with no sub-score less than 6.0
• Graduate Diploma, Bachelor and Level 6 Diploma: 6.0 overall with no sub-score less than 5.5
• Level 5 Diploma: 5.5 overall with no sub-score less than 5.0 

TOEFL iBT :

• Postgraduate: Score of 79 (with a writing score of 21)
• Graduate Diploma, Bachelor and Level 6 Diploma: Score of 60 (with a writing score of 20)
• Level 5 Diploma: Score of 46 (with a writing score of 20) 

PTE: 

• Postgraduate Diploma: PToE (Academic) score of 58
• Graduate Diploma, Bachelor and Level 6 Diploma: PToE (Academic) score of 50
• Level 5 Diploma: PToE (Academic) score of 42

New Zealand Living Expenses
